Leave the motorway M6 at junction 36, following the dual carriageway (signposted Windermere & South Lakes),

 via the Kendal bypass and the A591.  Immediately on entering Windermere turn left on the A592 to Bowness. 

At the lakeshore continue past the Steamer Pier for 300 yards

to the Burnside Hotel, which is on your left.

Change for Windermere at Oxenholme (The Lake District), which is a main line station on the London/Euston/Glasgow Central Line. 

Taxis are usually available from Windermere Station forecourt, but if in difficulty pleasetelephone us on 015394 46624.
